Dorset Fire Tower Time-lapse

I recently took a trip to Huntsville, Ont to visit some friends for the weekend. While there we went on a day trip to Dorset, Ont where a famous fire tower stands over looking the town. This is the view from the top.

Earth: We only get one

Earth: Our one and only

I wanted to create something in C4D so this is what I came up with. It's based on a tutorial that I seen over at PSDtuts except created in C4D.

I used Hair to create the grass and HDRI Light Kit Pro for the lighting.

Asteroid Strike

This is my submission for the Five Second Project "Nightmare"

The concept of this video is that it is a nightmare scenario in which all life on earth would most likely not survive.

I used texture maps from Planet Pixel Emporium for the earth and the moon and used pyro cluster for the smoke trail from the asteroid.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

This is a fun little piece I created in C4D. The idea for the graveyard scene was based on the fog tutorial from Nick Campbell, I then added the ghosts, pumpkins and grass for added effect.
I also used Magic Bullet Looks, Trapcode Particular, Realflow, HDRI Light Kit Pro, Optical Flares and Frischluft Lenscare.

All in all it's a pretty simple scene but I think that it turned out very nice.

Formula Effector Metaballs

The formula effector was used to create the movement so that the cloner object didn't have to be keyframed and then was placed inside a metaball object creating a liquid effect.

The video was then finished in After Effects where lens flares and colour correction was added.

Laser Chamber

Just a quick post on a little something that I have been playing around with this week.

All of the pieces were cloned several times across the length of the laser tube and the formula effector was used to automatically generate the movement and rotation of all the pieces.

I created a multi pass render to generate an object matte that was used to obscure the lens flares and the flares were tracked to the position of the lights in the chamber. All of this was easily achieved using the Optical Flares plugin created by Video Copilot.
