Sunset over Sand Lake Ontario
A few photos I took over the weekend.
And the timelapse video of the sunset.
New Photos
I had the chance to go on a drive through the country on the weekend, it was a foggy rainy day but this still presented some interesting photo opportunities.
The smell from the Canola was incredible.
Geisha Photoshoot
I did a quick shoot with a friend of mine a couple months ago and finally got around to editing the images. I used a fairly new lens that I got last summer but I had never used it for portrait photography before. The lens is a 70mm sigma f2.8 which is a macro lens but it can be used for pretty much anything.
I was really impressed because the photos turned out incredibly sharp as compared to the stock lens that the camera came with. Needless to say I didn't have to sharpen the image at all.
Clouds
We had some beautiful weather this weekend and I couldn't resist getting out and shooting some timelapse videos.
They turned out better then I had expected and using a circular polarizer definitely added some nice effects to the clouds and sky.

Timelapse
This weekend I went down to Kingston to visit my sister, we toured this sites of Kingston and went over to Wolfe Island where I got to do 2 timelapse videos of the wind farm on the island.
Later that night we had a fire in her backyard and I did another timelapse of the sunset which turned out awesome!
It was a great weekend but I still have a lot to learn.

Teaser Image
Here is a quick teaser for a timelapse video I will have up later this week.
Ok it's not really a teaser as the image pretty much gives the whole thing away.
Enjoy!
Above Don Mills
Making timelapse videos in the middle of winter is not an ideal situation, but it turned out not to bad.
You can see the CN Tower in the background on the left and Don Mills and Shepperd intersection in the foreground.
The timelapse was 490 frames over 26 minutes.
